Day 14 – We drove to Morraine Lake, arriving by 8:30.  This turned out to be good enough that we were the first ones up to the pass for the day.  (We saw numerous hikers on the way back).

The hike (12 km R/T, 730 m) ascended through pine-filled valleys at first, then larch-filled alpine meadows (Larch Valley), and finally above treeline to the Sentinel Pass from which we had views down into Paradise Valley.
